天宁寺塔院为全国重点文物保护单位。本项目是对北京天宁寺主殿及东西配殿的室内照明进行改造。照明与整体内装修改造同时进行。

设计重点解决的问题包括：营造安静祥和的整体氛围、佛像及壁画的重点照明、夜间举办活动的功能照明需要、灯具隐蔽、古建筑保护。

主殿内部进深较大，室内白天需要补充人工光来塑造空间的层次；夜间僧尼在此举办诵经活动，要求满足阅读需要。主殿以重点照明佛像、供台及四周画作为主，补充下照射灯满足夜间阅读需要。配殿佛像体量小巧、采用窄光筒灯，周边墙壁为保佑符，墙面亮度要满足阅读需要，考虑到僧侣后期维护的便利采用柔和晕开的荧光灯带。

灯具均隐蔽于建筑梁柱结构顶部，利用原有预设管线。

Tianning Temple is the national key preservation unit of cultural relics. The project aims to make reconstruction of indoor lighting in the main shrine and the side halls in the east and the west of Tianning Temple in Beijing. Lighting and overall interior decoration are carried out at the same time.

The issues to be solved as key in design include the creation of overall quiet and peaceful atmosphere, accent lighting of Buddha and wall paintings, the requirement of functional lighting for activities at night, the concealment of lighting fixtures, and the protection of ancient architecture.

Due to the deep depth inside the main shrine, it is required to have manual lighting to mold the levels of space at daytime; since Buddhist monks and nuns hold chanting activities here, it is required to meet the reading requirement. In the main shrine, emphasis shall be put on the lighting of Buddha, altar and surrounding paintings. Spot lamps are added to meet the requirement of reading at night. Since the volume of Buddha in the side hall is small, narrow light tube lamp is taken. There are blessing signs around the neighboring walls. The wall brightness shall meet the reading requirement. For the convenience of monks to carry out maintenance at later stage, soft scattering fluorescent lamp strip is taken.

Lighting fixtures are concealed at the top of the building structure of beam column, and the original preset pipelines are used.
